With her combination of exceptional analytic and reasoning skills and innate ability to pinpoint financial and operational efficiencies, founder, Yashieka S. Anglin has been able to consistently devise strategies that enhance her client’s bottom line.
From Humble Beginnings
Yashieka’s journey began in high school when she took on the role of a plumber’s assistant with her father’s company, eager to learn the ropes of the construction industry. Despite the challenges of balancing work with her studies, Yashieka thrived in the hands-on environment, soaking up knowledge and skills that would shape her future.
After graduating, Yashieka embarked on a new adventure, joining the Air Force. During her service, she honed her leadership abilities and gained valuable experience as a production manager, overseeing complex projects with precision and dedication.
Upon separating from the Air Force, Yashieka felt a pull back to her roots in construction. Armed with leadership skills and determination, she returned to assist her father’s plumbing business while founding Anglin Construction Group. Today, Yashieka’s journey from plumber’s assistant to successful business owner is a testament to her resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence in the construction industry.
Living the Dream
Through hard work and dedication, Yashieka was able to build Anglin Construction Group from the ground up, eventually even achieving acceptance into the coveted SBA Small Business Administration Emerging Alumni program (T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined). Just as she once helped aircrafts stay in the sky, she helps businesses soar to new heights today.
Behind the Job
When she’s not working, Ms. Anglin enjoys spending time with her two young children. As a volunteer, she works with Big Brother Big Sisters of America, and mentors other small businesses and nonprofits.
